Field Project Festival

About
Curator Studio partnered with Field Project to develop the festival's visual identity, creating a brand system that reflects the relationship between music, landscape, and temporary community. Conceived as more than a traditional festival, Field Project is a New Year's gathering set within the landscapes of the Western Cape, bringing together South Africa's electronic music community for a weekend shaped by sound, place, and shared experience. Rather than focusing on spectacle, the festival embraces atmosphere, documenting a fleeting moment where artists, listeners, and nature become part of the same narrative. Drawing inspiration from field studies, surveying systems, institutional graphics, and archival documentation, the identity was designed to feel timeless, functional, and quietly distinctive. The branding extends beyond a logo, establishing a visual language that positions each edition as a marker in time—a record of music, landscape, and the people who briefly call it home.
